I looked around for this topic and didn't find one. If there is one can someone please direct me there. That being said, how did everyone hear about Revomaze for the first time? I was not a member of any puzzle communities before and was introduced to the Blue by a friend.
Cheers!
Shane.

Re: How did you discover Revomaze?
I stumbled upon them in a Marbles the Brain store, in San Francisco's Union Square.
At the time, I was like, those are WAYYYY to expensive.
That was October of last year.
Here we are a year later and I own 11 unique Revos, some dups, waiting on a mercury, pre-ordered an Aqua, a bunch of Will Strijbos puzzles, a Pyro, a Loki and a handful of other aluminum puzzles.
Now ask me how many I've actually solved........
I'd like to own a Popplock or two, but those ARE wayyy to pricey! Maybe if I ever win the lottery!
I show everyone Revos (my wife rolling her eyes) when I can, hoping to encourage more people to buy them. Hoping that Chris will find it financially lucrative to continue to come up with new puzzles.
The biggest barrier for entry for most people, is the cost. Especially for the younger generations. I have a son and a son-in-law who love them, but one’s a poor college students, and the other a recent graduate, so they borrow mine.
Maybe someday, I’ll make it across the pond to Revo HQ.

Re: How did you discover Revomaze?
I read a review of the original five in Games magazine about 5 years ago. I made a mental note of how incredible those puzzles looked, but I didn't have that kind of money to spend. In 2012, back when Puzzle Master sold Revomazes, I decided to spend one of my Games contributor cheques on the blue revomaze. I really liked it when it arrived at my house, but I didn't put in the time to figure out what I was supposed to do. I think I played on and off for a week, never got beyond 4 moves, and then it sat on the shelf for a year.
Once I joined the forums and starting talking to like minded people, and reading about their experiences with the blue, I figured out what was going on and how best to map/solve the puzzle. I still remember when I first removed the core (on my back deck). Great feeling!
I then ordered the Orange from Puzzle Master. But that's a whole other story...

Out and out luck. I caught an episode on The Gadget show and they were playing with the revo obsessions. I checked them out and bought a blue and was hooked. Ordered the set and an orange and a lime.

Re: How did you discover Revomaze?
Very cool.
I have given away 2 Blues and one Bronze to friends myself. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is crazy enough to give some away (even if they are second hand spares). I'm glad the Aqua is coming out, that's what anyone else is getting now from me.

Re: How did you discover Revomaze?
Saw them on ThinkGeek a long time ago. Wanted one, wasn't working a great job, couldn't afford one, so I just kept wanting one.
Then when they weren't available anymore I managed to find it here on the website and got Orange.

My brother bought a BU from puzzle master and gave up after a week...I offered to take it off his hands...and had it beat in 3 days. Jeez - that was 6 years ago now.
