I realize today how Joseph and Chris could speed this up, if they wanted to do that.

Go through the remaining numbers. Any number that more than three people have selected is automatically eliminated, because that number can never result in a winner. Whatever is left then remains in the drawings until a winner is selected. Would happen much faster after that. :p

.... or any number that all the people have. Yes, it might go on a bit longer to get people with all the same few numbers but at least it would be a bit fairer

well 1 person has been eliminated in the last 2 draws so if it continues like that it would only be just another 7weeks before we see winners
