On the off chance that the final two people had the same set of numbers picked, that would create a stalemate.

If two or more have the same number of identical numbers that might be a problem, or not. I think it only becomes a problem if the number of those with identical numbers is greater than the number of Purples being awarded.

I keep blacking out that rule, since it's mostly nonsense. Unless people plan ahead of time, it is unlikely a group of more than three people will pick exactly the same numbers. Mild chance that a group of two would for the final maze, but even then.

The intent of Rule 6 would be if more than 3 people pick exactly the same numbers and are the last group in the running; obviously there is no way they will get pruned down to just 3 then. Thus, because of the conflict, they would ask everyone in the group to change their numbers. Could probably also require them to do a wildcard number instead, to prune them out.

That would be the intent of that rule.

the chance for exact duplicates is rather small...
