Post by smiteo »

anyone else play DRoD? (deadly rooms of death), http://www.caravelgames.com
the latest installment was released a week or so ago, and it is quite good, if you like DRoD type games!
Check it out...

I have to say that I'd never heard of it until just now. I had a read of it's Wikipedia article and it sounds pretty interesting.

I can't access the site from work, so I'll get it later on. Is it free to download?

the demo is free, but it is a pay game... not terribly expensive, and I think they might be having a special this week...

just as an incentive, they are having a 75% off all their old games until tomorrow, the 18th...
runs on most systems - although Mac Lion users can't currently run the old game natively (runs fine in VM).

in case you want to try DROD, there are now browser versions:
http://caravelgames.com/Articles/Games_ ... /KDDL.html

the puzzles start easy, and get quite difficult...

The browser version is turning out to be pretty fun! And in places pretty difficult as well. I've done one room about 30 times now and I'm having trouble working it out, but I'll get there eventually! :D
