You would just need a "keystone" like a stone archway would have. You could have them built here, http://www.shapeways.com/support/
But Chris would probably have more resources the that if he went into full production.

I think one of the important things to have is the ability for the stand to be able to display a single puzzle without making it look like there should be a set involved. Then it should be able to be integrated into other stands to make mutiple displaying possible.

I reckon that people are more likely to buy stands one at a time for single puzzle display than they are to buy a larger multi-display stand. Keep in mind that many buyers are not going to buy more than one or two puzzles. Also I think it would make sense for the stnad to be compatible with both the Obs and the Ex ranges.

Between eeffoc's original idea, me wanting to go modular, paradox's last statement, and chris's need for simplicity heres what i came up with... Now i assume this might be a bit too complex, but who knows.

The idea does make sense ReVoRabbit, but by the looks of it that stand in it's complete form would be several feet wide!

I'm certainly no expert in product design or marketing, but I reckon when it comes to something like a stand which is a sideline to the main product, less is more.

I’m on a roll, two ideas in the same week…

Here is my idea for a Solo Revo stand, it could be made out of acrylic and have the Revomaze logo laser etched into it, or have a colour logo embedded. You could even have the acrylic tinted to match the colour of the puzzle it is intended for. ;)

I like that a lot. It's small and simple. Just big enough to keep the puzzle from rolling around but not so big that it distracts from displaying the puzzle itself.
