well if you have one you might want to give it a try. if you dont have one, when you purchase your next puzzle ask chris to throw one in. at about $5 each(and no additional shipping), i think chris has made these little tools quite reasonably priced.

Thanks again chris!

is the trainer the little white cap you wedge over one of the ends?
I do have one that I've never tried... Not sure how it would make much difference...

thats it my friend. i agree, to begin with, i didnt really see what difference it would make, but i figured why not try it, then i saw the difference. like i said, sometimes it helps, sometimes it hinders.

So does the trainer actually fit on your black? Neither of my trainers (I have 2) fit on my black... and by quite a long way.
I had assumed because the black was a special that chris had designed them so that we couldn't use the trainers

I didn't try it on my black yet, as the bronze is still taking higher priority...
But the trainer did fit fine on the bronze, and I'm still getting used to it...
I can see it making things easier being able to navigate some sections, but trickier on others...

it fits, requires a bit more effort to get on though. if you are smart about your method, no harm should come to your puzzle. i say this because i can see plenty of ways people could damage their puzzles if they just use brute force and not any thought.

My trainer did fit on the black, but required some extra effort to get it on there. Later I used it also on the bronze, where it became slippery after a while, probably because the black had 'etched' or 'marked' it a bit. A single layer of sticky tape inside the trainer soled that problem.
These ReVoMazes are produced with remarkable accuracy.

i too had issues with the trainer fitting on the bronze afterwards as it was to big to stay on the shaft, but i also solved the issue by using a small piece of medical tape to fill the difference.

Congrats Smiteo for getting this baby open... 7 more...
