Sorry to hear the news.

I've been through the divorce process myself. I doubt there is anything I can tell you that makes it hurt less right now, but as others have said, if you feel that you want to talk, you can always do so.

I truly hope you can resolve things and that the hurt and pain you are feeling is temporary.

The only thing I can tell you is that time does heal, and from my own perspective, I have found someone again, and find myself truly happy now.

Did I mention earlier to save yourself the headache and hire a lawyer? And make sure your lawyer is a different one than the one your wife has. Even if you want to give her everything or if you have nothing, it is good to have someone help take care of all the little paperwork and ease the transition for you.

Thanks guys! (and gal) I feel lucky to have so many amazing people as support in my dark time. All who haven't been here I hope you never have to. And all those who have been here I hope I can have the strength you did to make it through this. There's nothing else I can say except this sucks! It really sucks! But we've already started to separate all financial responsibilities right now just in case it gets ugly. Just need to remember to keep breathing and remind myself that it's not my fault. You can't make someone love you and if they lose their way you have to do as much as possible but there will come a time to just let go. Again, thank you all so much for your support.

I myself am pretty much the other end of the scale, as in the next couple of weeks my Fiancee is moving in with me.

It's a pretty big step for her having sold up to move in with me

I'm just hoping we lose none of our current magic

Well it's official. I'm getting a divorce. She's now trying to file false abuse charges so she can stay in this country. You think you know someone until they stab you in the back. All of you out there about to get married I wish you the best of luck and please realize that a marriage takes lots of work from both people. Lots of hard work. Good luck and best wishes.

Going to see a lawyer on Monday. At this point I just want it all to go away. You try to always be there for someone and give yourself entirely in marriage but one day it just changes. At least we don't have kids or a house together or anything.

On the lighter note divorce is good for weight loss. I'm now under 200 pounds.
