Do some members actually deregister themselves?
I am sure there were 501 members yesterday, but now it is 500 again...

No, we delete accounts where the user decides to advertise male "enhancement" pills and the like

Alright, and thanks for cleaing up the spam for us.

By the way, imagine somebody does makes the sad decision to end their forum membership, does the forum provide a method to do so?
Or is the only way (besides posting certain pill commercials) to ask an admin to be removed?

Note: I have no such intentions, I am just just curious.
Note: Curious about the forum options, not about the pills .

A bit of an unusual topic... but not wanting to deprive people of information, I'll answer. The options available are:

• account deactivation : the member's account remains and is viewable by all in the memberlist... essentially the user can't logon
• account deletion (keeping posts) : the account is removed permanently. The member is not listed in the memberlist, but the posts remain with the users old usename. (like chevelle970)
• account deletion (removing posts) : same as above, but all trace of the user ever being here is removed... other than posts by other users that reference the member

To be fair and as far as the forum knows, Gdamatov77 was the 500th user, just two after TALES (u=498)! Those are the running totals for all users including bots and our good friend Anonymous, not necessarily active people.
