So i was in the pub on wed playing poker and was chatting to a lad who kept refering to his geek "friend" it was only after i confirmed my own geek credentials that he admitted that his Geek "friend" was infact himself.

Why is everyone so embrassed to release their inner geek!

That said, im sure there are some inner geeks among us, in fact id put a months wages on it!!

Who's brave enough to admit it first, Star trek or a vast understanding of Games workshop stand you in good stead to get you to the top of the ReVoMaze Geek list! (for the record i regard myself as a geek so if i cause offense, well i dont care. Geek and PROUD!)

Bands and computers? No that fails to meet true geek status, had you mentioned D & D then maybe you would have made the list.

Try harder

Lets see,

My geek interests....just off the top of my head while i am waiting for a stock take to start.

D&D ,early teen years, AD&D,early teen years, Car wars,Harn,WoW,AoC,
Stargate Worlds (currently closed beta is running). I like puzzles. Quite a few fantasy authors. Ive seen all the nerds film and was very thankful the remake of nerds was finally canned after making it to pre production....replacing the character booger with someone called felch.

TV shows I watch or have watched.

Dr Who, Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy (not universe), blakes 7 Startrek TOS, Startrek TNG, Startrek Voyager, Startrek DS9 Startrek Enterprise, All of the startrek movies, most of the fantasy and science fiction movies of the last 30 years.

.....I am not sure if i am a geek or nerd....probably a nerd!

Geeks are actually good for something, like you can go to a science geek for help with your math homework. but nerds are those weird people who cant really do anything except smell funny and are generally best avoided.

Puzzles are what i am currently becoming famous for representing, mostly the Revo. When i show up to a party, whle most are bringing beer, i get the "how dare you look" if i dont bring piles of games.

I stay away from video and computer games, but i do love my Wii. My top games have to be Prince of Persia (PS2), God of War (PS2), Evil Genius (PC/MAC), and Ratchet and Clank series (PS2). WOW is a no no for me. haven't touched it, wount touch it. Anyone with a Wii, let me know. i'll trade you Wii numbers!

AS far as card and board games, i like Settlers of Catan and its expansions, anything by Steve Jackson (i own almost all of the Munchkin games), and admittidly, last night i missed this thread as i got convinced to play a few hand of Ninja Burger and (OMG) Magic. My first job was working for Wizards of the Coast, so i know how to play MTG, Pokemon, Starwars TCG, etc.

i tried starwars version of D&D in middle school, Rifts in High school, and i tried GMing a few D&D games myself, but i lacked experience of actual play. Recently i have been sucked into playing Call of Chuthulhu (i think thats how its spelled). a 1920's RPG based more off of action and less off of dice.

oh yeah, and my favorite disney character is... Jessica Rabbit!

I agree with the Nerd/Geek separation.

I would class myself as a geek probably. But it would be quite hard to spot it if you were to talk to me :D

I started painting Warhammer figures when I was about 14ish (and finished when a "friend" of mine sat on all my brushes and snapped them all in 2  ). I've played WoW for the last 4 or 5 years on and off.

I love Star Trek (anything but TOS) and have seen most of the films (can't wait for the next one). I did maths at university (although didn't finish it) and last year spent a lot of my free time programming a pseudo AI/pathfinding computer programme thing :D
