Revomaze App

How cool would a revo-app be on the iPhone? It could vibrate when you screw up or make a click sound. You could turn the nob with the touch screen and control the translational movement by tilting your phone. It wouldn't be anywhere close to the real deal, but you could have a revo anywhere. Even on an airplane.

What do you guys think?

not quite a bad idea. I like it actually.

I don't think it would really work that well.
However, if you want to see something awesome that does a good job of doing something with a similar concept (e.g., doing stuff in a dark room) check out Papa Sangre on the iPhone. Kick-ass game, implementation, and concept.

haha I came up with this exact idea about a month ago. I think it would be killer cool! I was also thinking Chris could make it a front end to the RevoMaze store and to register your real puzzles.
It would be also cool if it had GameCenter support for leader-board opening times! I have tons of other ideas for an iPhone RevoMaze App....

And people could make and send in there own revo maps for people to download an try!
If that happens, I might get an Iphone. =D

Agreed, Android is the way to go.
All open source, much better OS.
I love my droid.

It is not that hard to design it for both systems at the same time. May as well do both.
And Android Apps are generally not open source, even if the OS is.
Plus, there are probably just as many iOS users as Android users around here. May as well go for both. Heck, could throw the new WinPhone in while you're at it.

However, before you get all stirred up. Who is going to code this?

That's the best question.
I'm pretty good at C/C++/C Sharp. iPhone is objective C I'm pretty sure. I don't think the differences are too large, so I could probably do the coding. I, however, suck at graphics. Someone else needs to do that and until that's set it's pointless to code.
If I do end up doing the coding, I'm definitely down with ideas and making this thing awesome. So fill this topic up with them! We should probably also get permission from Chris to do it.
Also, I'm cool with deferring to someone else's coding powers. If you really want to. You can. As long as you don't kill my phones battery power.

As for droid, I'm sure there's probably a sdk we could use.

I think our best bet is to ask Mark if he would be willing to use his skills for it. After we get Chris's permission, hopefully Mark will be willing to use his skills for yet another thing as well that's awesome.
