All,
I am looking to see who in here owns a revomaze and smokes. it is my theory that the nicotine absorbed into the skin by smoking, after hours of play, has embedded itself into the nickle plating of my Blue. If you are a smoke please let me know and tell me if you have any discoloration of the shaft where your fingers are.
Thank you for your help.

hrm I dont smoke, but I can't see how nicotine can permeate chrome plating ?

what shape is the stain, how bad are your fingers, how thick is the chrome coating, what colour is the metal beneath?

:ugeek: :geek: :ugeek:

I smoke but not much - ReVoBlue hasn't been affected over here. However, I have realised that I have the same etchings as CR80.... On the inside of the sleeve...

if i had to hazard a guess,i would say the "chrome plating" is wearing thin ,not aquiring nicotine stains from your fingers..i smoke2-3 packs a day,no effect on the mazes so far....
can we see a pic hotrod?

Well, I don't smoke and mine is discolored where I grasp it, I'm just guessing it's general wear.

Same here too. I don't smoke but the end of the shaft appears slightly discoloured. Doesn't really bother me though :)

I have the same issue with my revomaze, I am convinced it is some of the blue anodizing that rubbed onto my right hand fingers and then transferred onto the shaft.

It is pretty much just on the right hand end for me, and that end of the body is a lighter shade of blue now where I have rubbed the body smooth through lots of use. If you look carefully at the shaft there are minute grooves, and carefull examination has shown that mine has the 'stain' in those grooves. I smoke sometimes but i'm left handed - my left hand hasn't touched that part of the shaft.
