Shipping from US to Europe

At this moment there are several books on eBay that I would like to buy / to bid on.
All of them are English childrens books being offered in the US.
For most of them, shipping to the Netherlands is more expensive than the books themselves. :(
Some sellers do not offer shipping to Europe.

Therefore I am looking for someone in the US who is willing to act as intermediate shipping address for me. I would have up to 8 separate books sent to the Intermediate address within a month, which would then have to be re-packed into one package to be sent to my home address in the Netherlands. Ofcourse I am going to pay all costs involved.

If you are willing to help me with this, then please reply or send me a PM.

Have you had a look at http://www.myus.com They offer an address in the US for delivery and will repack and send any parcels to you.

I used them quite a bit before the GBP took a dive against the dollar.

Oh WOW! what a great link, I've had similar problems with a variety of items from the US. Thank you very much Goody54321, I will investigate this service further. :D

Thanks for the link, I did not know them yet.
Other options are still welcome.

I just found out eBay does not allow me to bid on an object if the sender does not ship to my country. Does anyone know how to cope with this if I do have a US address that I can use?
I'll be reading the eBay FAQ and the myus website this evening...

I've offered in the past, and I'm happy enough to offer again if you want a middleman for shipping.

As far as Ebay goes, I have both a US and UK ebay account, and that seems to be ok. Can't think why you wouldn't be able to bid if your second account had a US address ... of course that way you don't have all your positive feedback which can be an issue for some sellers. I'm lucky enough that both my accounts have good positive feedback now from several years of use.
