RevoGirl wrote:Thanks for the recommendations! The snow in the states sounds amazing...Think i'll have to go everywhere at some point...maybe try and get round a few in one season! Think Utah will be a good place to start!

All i have to do now is get my new board :D Cant wait till next season!!!!

The snow in Utah and Jackson was unreal. Very light and fluffy. Whistler has more of a heavy wet snow. And east coats mountains have just icy crud!! When i was in Colorado and Tahoe it didnt snow while i was there so i dont know how it is on a pow day.

Utah is definitely a great place. Id go back there in a heartbeat. Just a heads up Alta and Deer Valley do not let snowboarders in!

I picked up a new board on my last trip!!! I was in the market for a longer board for out west anyway!

If you plan on hitting the states shoot me a message maybe we can get together a revomaze snowboarding trip!!!!!

Check out this site they have deals up on gear or other snowboard/skate related items ever half hour or so
www.whiskeymilitia.com

I have seen some good deals on boards come up. I picked up a few jackets and some other random stuff off there for like 60% off!

Lib and Gnu are made by the same company Mervin Manufacturing. Great boards. I'm a big fan. This is my third board from them.

From what I hear Rome makes some great boards and bindings. I was considering a Rome but after demoing my new board I liked it so much I didnt bother! The guy at the shop actually talked me out of the Rome since i was looking for more of a pow board.

If you like it that much then go for it. I love my lib tech but i also needed a longer big mountain board which is why i grabbed the new board.

I highly recommend Mt Baker in Washington. I think I preferred it over Whistler as it's about the same distance from Vancouver but cheaper and without the crowds. It gets a crap load of snow and has some wicked terain. I love the chute!
