When do we get to know who won?

My guess is sometime after Gold release. Everything was pushed back and now with the change in staff we are kind of waiting for Chris' announcement this weekend to see what is going on.

This weekend has come and gone. What's the news?

I am going to 'stand firm' on the announcement coming sometime after the Gold release. Maybe one of the Mods/Admins can shed some light on it.. but I think we all know about the same at this point.

We really do not know that much more than you. However, what little more that we do know tends to say that you are probably correct on that point. I believe, but anticipate Nigel or someone correcting me if I am wrong, that Chris' currently priorities visible to us are to get caught up, get the Gold out, Orange announcements, and so on. I am sure there are a million other smaller things inside that also.

Barcared, Chris, Chris, whoever, feel free to step in and tell everyone if I was wrong or edit my post or whatever.

As maztec said, I believe Chris' main priority is the Gold. Due to the nature of the Gold being the end of the main series and with the algorithm, and series code, I think you'll find this is where Chris is putting all his efforts at the moment. There can't be issues with it like there was with the silvers, or plating issues like the reds. Last I heard, Chris was doing a lot of travelling around between the engineering firms that are involved with production of the Gold to make sure that it's spot on first time.

My understanding is that the entries are being looked at as they're being submitted (I think there's been quite a few entries!) and there have been a few that stand out. However, I don't believe that there's been any official judging as yet. I think we'll hear much more about this after the release of the Gold though.

Orange:

We now have all the choices from Michael, Nicole, Nigel and Chris regarding the Orange Competition and I will put up the winner tonight at around 10pm after careful consideration from some very imaginative submissions. We will then hand over the design to the engineers to draw up and I will be closely working with the winner.

Seems likely. It sounds like RevoHQ is running a bit more smoothly now.
