I guess it is everyone for themselves.
Do you really want to know what people are designing? I would rather not know, that way if I don't win, I get to experience someone elses genius ideas that beat mine without any hints 8-)

I did have to scrap some what I thought would be cool new tricks due to the constraints. Sad to see them go but I got to come up with new stuff to replace it. My only fear is making what I think is a fantastic design and Chris takes one look and says it's crap/not doable

This is an interesting experience as I'm learning the limitations of maze design (particularly the "don't cross the streams" related problems) but once a problem is worked out I can suddenly imagine new things I can do because of how the solution worked. There seems to be a flow of ideas being ruined and simultaneously being created because of the nature of the revomazes. It's a very natural and fluidic process.

Don't get me wrong Walther - I do not think we should post anything related to our designs - God no....

I was more thinking that if we have a specific technical issue not covered in the spec that perhaps we could all benefit - I'd hate to have or see any design dismissed on a technicality :(

There should now be another bit in the Orange forum (visible only to those who have REGISTERED that they have read the packs!) If it doesn't get used I'll delete it  no big deal! :)

Just working on my design and I was wondering if it is possible to submit more than one design? or are we limited? Can anyone clarify? Sorry if someone has already asked this and I've missed it.

Thanks

You can send us more than one and we can tell you which one we prefer if you like, but you can only enter 1 into the competition sorry! (Sending us multiple designs to choose from will cost you one "lifeline")

Hello all Revo-Orange'rs

Just to let you know, I've submitted my design today :) using up 1 lifeline (I think) as I asked 2 questions.

No pressure though ... you still have 1195 hrs left.

Ditto. I'm almost certain Chris is going to shake his head and say, "nope, not feasible do to________(cost, time, reliability...) not to mention we all saw this competition coming and after reading the rules i pretty much trashed every design i had. i kept a part here or there, but the rules are a lot more restrictive than i imagined.
