A batch will be, for example I'll say 50 mazes, so thus 2nd batch will be the 2nd 50, 51-100. this means there could be a batch 3.

I guess its like this due to the complexity of the mazes, it takes time to make and thus time on the machines will need to be rotated with the other mazes. Think how much it would cost to have 1 machine per maze, at the moment I think 7 different metal mazes are in production...

The gold was in 5 batches but only 250 are available outside the Collectors Edition it doesn't mean 5 lots of 250, the other mazes also says next batch due on such a date.

Ahh that makes sense Mr. Tea and Rdroege. If they are machined in batches of 50, and there is another batch to be made, that means they have either released batch 1 and/or 2, i.e. 1 -50 and 51 - 100. So how is it that Rdroege has #127?

The batch system is obviously correct, but maybe Chris just picks the numbers at random. Therefore im no closer to knowing the number of my orange. Will just have to wait and see ........

:? :?

Searching for Patience ......

ERROR: Patience Not Found

Well i managed to get #88 and i bought mine from batch 1 so i think Chris may have done runs of 100, and then the 3rd run will be a run of 50, or he could have done the 1st run as 100 and then 50 for each run after that or some other combination, all runs dont have to be equal in size but theres probably a minimum to be cost effective in setting up the machine to do each puzzle

Well I did say for example batches of 50!

I've got orange#108 as well so could be batches of 75, 100, 125 I do not know.

Sounds like there's more to be made as the 250 number hasn't come up yet. Excellent. :)

There's an awful lot of guessing and speculation going on in here isn't there.

Personally I think they are hand engraved one at a time by trained monkeys. Sometimes they get numerical order confused, hence the number irregularities.

i think Paradox's idea is the most reasonable, i'll go with that ;)

Basicly, when the batch is made, they are numbered etc, then put in a box for chris to collect. The puzzles would then be packed and sent off to people. The number would most likely be random out of the lot, unless chris makes sure they are sold in order.
