Re: RedX IS AVAILABLE!

Why wouldn't someone open it? I opened mine.

Regardless of what some people think of it it is still part of the Revomaze collection, and as such I feel is still worthy of collectors. I'm sure many would disagree with me, but that's my view.

In my 'It's OPEN!' message, I wrote:
Hello Chris,

Very funny. R00058 is open, but no joy on the ******. I had been at the end several times, but ********. This puzzle is completely ******!

Cert #: 7********9

Best,
Matt
It certainly has its place, but well outside of the main series puzzles as it has always been. Getting to the end of the rainbow is definitely a challenge and the puzzle overall is mind numbing logic bomb for a static puzzle, especially if you've first had a go with a RedObs. I wouldn't sell it for any more than the initial cost, but that's me. ;)

I don't see me ever selling my Red.. I felt too good after solving the damn thing.

I doubt I will ever let my Revos go unless something serious comes up. I am hardly anywhere on my Silver (not a lot of time these days) and who knows what Gold will bring.. but I like to have them.

Maybe if I was offered enough?

I need to get back to my Red

I've still not managed to open it yet  But I've not touched it for ages.

I've just not spent as much time on it as I did with the obsession version ;)

OK, that's scary. You've solved the silver but not the red.

The Red is a very different kind of puzzle. There is a reason why many don't regard it as part of the main series.

You'll work it out eventually. ;)

People should only consider buying a red if they are a collector. Unlike the Black, the Red is not "just another maze". If you want to see all of Chris' dirty tricks and open every revo ever made then I guess it's a must. Whether it's worth the price being asked currently is another matter...
  • if you haven't opened at least a bronze and ideally a silver then the red is not for you - it'll be next to impossible without this experience
  • if you try to fly around the mazes ie. don't take slow, controlled, methodical moves then the red is not for you - you will likely shred up the insides and break it and will never open it
  • if you like to repeatedly solve all your mazes then the red is not for you - there are some delicate areas inside which, given time and no modification, will likely eventually wear out
  • if you get stressed about struggling with other mazes then the red is not for you - you'll probably end up going mental and killing the dog or something
  • if you're 12 and the cost of a red is a years worth of savings then the red is not for you
If you do decide to buy one then just remember that it's not your average revomaze and you need to be careful in some parts. Be firm with it, but if what you're doing with it feels wrong, then it probably is. (that's what she said)
