Re: Training Aid

Has anyone had a problem with a Training Aid being too loose? On my Silver, the Training Aid spins with relatively little force, and slides off quite easily too.

I've tried a few Training Aids, including ones which are very snug on my other Revos.

So does anyone have any tips? I am considering maybe putting a bit of tape around the end of the Revo to make it tighter for the Training Aid, but i dont like the idea ...

...I use a bit of masking tape around the shaft - personally find that 1.5 to 2 wraps is sufficient (it will need replacing after a month or two while you're working on it ;) ) ... interestingly that was on my AG ... and it fitted the others well... YMMV

Fabric tape like from a bandage or double-sided carpet tape kept mine on snug.

So is there a reason training aid:
1. Fits different puzzles differently.
2. Is round on the inside
???

The last one boggles me ... shouldn't it be hexagonal on the inside to fit the shaft? :?

1. I don't think they're made to the same tolerances. It's best if you have to work a bit to get it on. The hex hept (?) nut should dig into the plastic to give you a snug fit.
2. You don't want to know.
(it may simply be easier to cut a round hole that grips it just as well if not better than a hexheptagonal hole)

My trainer is actually super loose. I took the advice and put tape around the shaft so it fits better now.
I was just wondering

Tho I dun think a round hole would grip better otherwise  why else would the world bother with hex wrenches then... ;)
