Training Aid

Post by Gdamatov77 »

I got my training aid today. Getting this thing on my Red is gonna be a puzzle in itself. If anyone can help me with getting it on, or a specific way it needs to be, it would be greatly appreciated.

(Other-)Mod-edit: SPOILER ALERT - don't read any further if you want to work out how to assemble the training aid yourself.

The side with a hole on it?

Put that over the nob sticking out of the end of the maze, preferably on the side that pulls outward as you solve it.

The training aid is designed to be tight, so it may take a solid tap to get it on, once you get it lined up correctly. Be careful to tap the training aid, not the maze (don't want a bent pin!)

I am having problems getting it on. I have tried maze on the table and pushing the aid on, and I have tried aid on the table pushing maze on. Still can't do it.

I'm just wondering why you're trying to put it on a maze that you are selling ..... :?

I had a hard time putting my training aid on also. It actually fit on the blue and green easily, but was really tight on the silver. I had to put it on the blue/green a few times, and loosen it up a bit, then stand the training aid on a table, put the silver down into it just a bit, and push like crazy straight down. It eventually slipped about a third of the way on. I have to say, I liked it only that far on, so I used it that way forever ... until my step-brother ripped it off and went, "What's this for?!? SOLVED IT!" and managed to loosen it up quite a bit .. Now it slips on and off way too easily and is mostly useless to me.

So... push hard, get it on as far as you can, and be happy with how far you get the core in. Doesn't have to go on all the way, as long as it doesn't pull off.

just remember when applying force for the training aid, to apply it to the shaft, not the sleeve...

Easy to fit just fill training aid cap with boiling water for about 15 seconds then empty out and fit. Both mine went on in seconds using this method.

Do they fit snuggly once they've cooled?
