RevoHQ Descriptions 2021 - The Collection

Post by prodigy »

Aqua:
The exquisitely designed Aqua V3 is an excellent introduction to the Revomaze puzzle series introduced to the R1 line in 2015. The Aqua will provide hours of entertainment for anyone who is new to the Revomaze. This challenging puzzle is suitable for young puzzlers and will help them develop fine motor and problem-solving skills. Since some customers reported that the Blue was too difficult for a novice puzzler, the Aqua was created to appeal to a broader audience. The Aqua features thicker walls and incorporates techniques from other puzzles such as the Blue and Green.

The Aqua is featured in the Revomaze beginner collection alongside the Turquoise and Blue mazes, but will also present an enjoyable challenge to experienced puzzlers alike. Adult supervision is strongly advised for children handling the product. It’s a fantastic puzzle for teenagers or adults to enjoy and solve.
Turquoise:
The Turquoise V3 was introduced to the R1 line in 2019. The Turquoise was created to broaden the beginner range while also presenting a new challenge. To navigate the maze and unlock the core, the Turquoise will put your focus, dexterity, and mapping skills to the test. But beware, there are some tricky traps hidden inside, and one wrong turn will take you back to square one. The Turquoise was designed to be an intermediate puzzle between Aqua and Blue. This puzzle has some likeness to the Aqua and Blue, yet it’s still a fresh design to the beginner range.

Turquoise V3 is an excellent maze for both new and experienced puzzlers to practise and develop their skills. It’s a perfect brain teaser that’s fun to solve and helps you think logically. This version is both difficult and fascinating, but once you’ve solved it, it’s incredibly simple to repeat, making it the ideal puzzle to demonstrate your abilities to others. The re-playability of the Revomaze is one of its most appealing features.

The goal of this puzzle is to challenge your brain in a fun, interactive, and entertaining way. With lateral thinking, logic, and quickness, you can put your skills to the test!
Blue:
The beautifully crafted Blue V3 was the first Revomaze design in the series, the Blue was designed for the Beginner puzzler and received a wonderful response from the puzzling community. While the Blue was successful, some of our customers said that this puzzle was too much for a level 1 Revomaze. We took this feedback on board and designed the Aqua, and five years later we brought out the Turquoise V3.

Blue version 1 was the first Revomaze created back on Christmas Day in 2008 also known as “Revomaze 1” featuring a static maze with no other internal parts, it’s the ideal puzzle to begin your Revomaze journey. Blue makes you think outside of the box and develop the skills required for mentally mapping or drawing out the maze, vital for progression through the Revomaze suite of puzzles. The Blue was available to order from February 2009, there were 12 puzzles specially engraved including a special engraved stand.

The puzzle you simply can’t put down! This puzzle requires your concentration, dexterity, and skill to navigate the maze and solve the puzzle as you blindly navigate a maze by twisting, pulling and pushing the inner shaft. With an average solve time of 4 – 6 hours this version is by no means easy, challenging your mapping and problem-solving skills to avoid the traps and unlock the core.
Green:
The beautifully coloured Green V3 has a Revomaze difficulty rating of 60 / 100, making it the ideal introduction to our intermediate puzzle collection. The Green V3 was named one of Wired magazine’s top ten gifts at the UK Gadget Show in 2010 and has remained incredibly successful ever since.

Soon after our very first run of Blue production versions were shipped the Green V3 was designed and has been a popular maze with puzzle enthusiasts ever since. We would recommend tackling the Green V3 once you have solved Blue. The Green has a longer average solving time of 6 – 8 hours because of its longer bridges, and a surprising twist.

The Green, with a more complicated static maze, is said to be one of the most difficult of the Revomaze range to repeat solve. Are you up for a more challenging task? Next, try our Mint or Titanium puzzles.
Black:
In 2009 Chris Pitt designed and made 20 Black Revomaze Extreme’s which were specially produced for our collectors and rarely available to buy from the owners of the Black V1. Collectors sometimes find these for sale at a very high price. The Black V1 was made both in metal and plastic where both are no longer in production.

The Black is a tricky but entertaining puzzle to complete, and we recommend mapping your routes as you move through the maze. It’s intended to get you thinking outside the box!
Mint:
The Mint V3 is a fantastic addition to our intermediate line of products. This maze, which rates 65 out of 100 on the Revomaze difficulty scale and takes between 10-15 hours to complete, is a perfect follow-up to the Green, testing your memory and navigation skills.

Using memory and dexterity you’ll need to gently guide the core to navigate through this tough little maze and avoid the hidden traps that will reset the puzzle. Our V3 Mint is a dynamic puzzle, so expect a challenge, not for the faint-hearted.

Crafted from anodized aluminium and nickel-plated brass, the Mint V3 is a great progression puzzle preparing you for the tougher challenges in the intermediate category such as Orange and Bronze.
Titanium:
The beautiful Titanium V3 puzzle is an excellent addition to any puzzle set. This puzzle has a difficulty rating of 65 out of 100, so it is not quick, but it’ll keep you amused for hours. The Titanium is a static maze for intermediate puzzlers that was originally included in the Collector’s Edition. This challenging puzzle includes a devilish trick that will necessitate sure and steady hands to solve.
GunMetal:
The Gunmetal has a stamatic labyrinth that must be navigated carefully in order to find the solution! With a difficulty ranking of 70 out of 100, it perfectly falls into the advanced category! The average opening time is a mind-boggling 40 – 60 hours, and the reason for this is that it takes so long to figure out the difficult elements that will enable you to plan out your routes.

It is not an easy puzzle to solve with an average solving time of 40 to 60 hours; however, trying out other advanced Revomaze’s before such as Indigo and Copper will greatly aid you in your Gunmetal adventure.
Orange:
The Orange was designed by a competition winner in 2010 and features extended bridges as well as numerous traps and pitfalls. This is a fantastic collector’s piece and a very challenging maze. On the Revomaze scale, the beautiful Orange V3 Puzzle has a difficulty rating of 75 out of 100. This concept was selected as the winner by a panel of our forum members and Chris, our inspiring leader, out of approximately 80 entrants.

The Orange V3 remains a mainstay in our collection and is still as popular today as it was after its creation back in 2010. This is one of the most challenging puzzles in the intermediate category and we recommend that you try at least one of the intermediate puzzles, Mint or Green before you take it on, they’re a puzzler’s delight!
Copper:
In 2015, 125 Copper V1’s were produced; the Copper is a static maze, similar to the Aqua and Blue, and it was made with a 2mm screw, allowing the maze to be longer and more complex. The Copper can be represented as a “standard maze,” with intricate paths but no dynamic elements. Navigate the Copper labyrinth while dodging devilish traps. The Copper is perfect for anyone looking for a non-dynamic challenge.

The Copper, with a difficulty rating of 75 out of 100, requires a high level of patience and dedication. Mapping is strongly advised if you choose to use it to help you solve this puzzle. If you’re looking for a serious challenge with a static maze, the Copper is a wonderful addition to your puzzle collection!
Red:
The Red was released in December 2009 when 250 Red V1 Revomaze’s were manufactured. The Red is a static maze that was originally designed for the Revomaze in plastic that requires absolute care, taking dexterity skills to the ultimate limit. This puzzle requires a lot of concentration and dedication, and mapping is also highly recommended.

Although there were only 250 Red V1’s produced worldwide, you might be able to find a metal or obsession version of the Red on auction sites like eBay.

The Revomaze Red is a one-of-a-kind design in the Revomaze family; it’s a beautiful puzzle, but it’s also challenging to solve. The Red is owned by a small number of people, but it is a stunning collector’s item overall!
Bronze:
The challenging Bronze V3 has a Revomaze difficulty ranking of 80 out of 100, making it the most complex maze in our Intermediate range. This puzzle necessitates patience, focus, and commitment due to its average opening time of 40 hours. The idea behind the Bronze was to create a complex puzzle that would keep you interested while still being enjoyable to solve. The group on the Revomaze forum has given the different areas of the maze names like ‘Jacuzzi,’ ‘Swimming pool,’ and ‘Euro,’ which will trap you with only one way out.

The Bronze can be represented as a puzzle that will lead you into the dark before bringing you back into the light; this will become clearer as you learn more about the Bronze.

The Bronze V3 was the first Revomaze to be modelled as a dynamic progression maze, and it is said to be one of the most popular in the forums! The Bronze will put a lot of your analytical skills to the test, and mapping the paths to discover the secrets inside is highly recommended to support you along your journey! Customers have praised this puzzle as a fun addition to the Revomaze collection.

Ready for the ultimate challenge? Move on to our advanced suite and try the Copper or Gunmetal editions if you dare!
Indigo:
Revomaze enthusiasts have been waiting for the Indigo for a long time, and we are thrilled to announce that you can now order the Indigo V3! Shane, known as ‘darctangent’ in the Revomaze community is a customer and a close friend of Revomaze founder Chris Pitt, who collaborated on the Indigo in 2015. The Indigo is a challenging maze that encourages thinking and careful planning to map out the paths you’ll take on your journey. The Indigo is ideal for those who are ready to tackle the advanced stages, as well as for collectors.

The Indigo has been a big hit among puzzle owners since its release in 2015. Despite being classified as a challenging puzzle to solve, the Indigo is a wonderfully engaging maze that will have you on the edge of your seat for a long time.
Grey:
Introducing Grey V3 which is the latest edition to the R1 series. The Grey V3 has been designed for the Advanced range and with a difficulty level of 85 / 100, the Grey is similar to Bronze in difficulty. Originally the Grey was classed as ‘Intermediate’ however Chris soon realised that this was wrong and was moved up a level to Advanced. We have chosen to release the Grey in October as it is linked to Halloween because of its theme based around the ‘spiders web’ and other spine-chilling surprises you’ll discover along the way.

The Grey is dark and obscure, and it is purposefully baffling in order to perplex any challengers. Blindly navigating the maze, like any Revomaze, will not be easy; there will frequently be a sequence of events that will surprise its challengers. Throughout your path, you’ll encounter doors that open and close, which isn’t as simple as it sounds, as well as obstacles that will prevent you from completing the maze without being interrupted. If you’ve conquered some of the obstacles, you’ll come face to face with the ominous spider. The enemy will do everything it can to keep you from winning, and it’ll be up to you to defeat the beast.

The Grey is tough and resilient, and it’s difficult to get away from it. The various challenges you’ll encounter will only make you smarter on your path, which makes this puzzle challenging yet rewarding. The Grey web necessitates a whole new level of thought, mapping, and comprehension, but once you comprehend how the labyrinth works, it becomes much easier to solve after a few attempts.

When attempting to solve the Grey V3, please keep in mind that wall-hugging, force, or an excessive amount of pressure are not required and can harm the internal maze, resulting in a ‘User Error’ that will be charged to be repaired. If you are concerned at any point and would like assistance from the team, please contact us as soon as possible and we will be happy to assist. Despite the fact that we have described the Grey V3 as a challenging puzzle, we do not recommend that the puzzle be mishandled at any point, as this would necessitate a repair service performed by Revomaze HQ, and if the puzzle is deemed to be a user fault, the user would be charged for the service to take place, as well as shipping costs.
HandMade:
It’s the most difficult Revomaze to find, since it’s only made in small batches, and with a difficulty rating of 90 out of 100, it’s one of the most difficult puzzles in the Revomaze family. In 2010, our inventor Chris Pitt manufactured 25 Limited Edition Handmade V1 puzzles. The Handmade was designed as a collector’s puzzle. For serious collectors, the Handmade can be commissioned.
Silver:
The Silver is the series’ second complex progression maze, with an incredible difficulty ranking of 90 out of 100! Originally 20 were run off the machine, the first 12 for the special edition sets with blank numbers, the thirteenth was for Revomaze HQ which was sold. The Silver is a lot more difficult than the Bronze, which is still tough! Gravity Pins, the Canal, Rabbit Run, the Motorway, and the Swamp are among the latest features added. If you fall you can quickly start again using our unique patent reset method!

The Silver will test you to the limit with 100 – 300 hours of solving time, and users have reported that it took them an average of 160 hours to open the Silver! Is this one of the world’s most difficult puzzles?

To help you conquer the Silver, you’ll need a lot of planning and mapping. Silver is inspired by James Bond’s film “Live and Let Die.” With various dynamics, the Silver forces you to think beyond the box. Silver is also one of the world’s most difficult puzzles to solve, with some customers spending years on it before they can open it.
Salmon:
The Salmon V3 Revomaze is a dynamic maze puzzle that is Chris Pitt’s most complex labyrinth model, with a stunning difficulty rating of 95 out of 100, making it one of the most challenging puzzles in the advanced catalogue.

The aim of the puzzle is to return the Salmon to the spawning pool where it was born. You’ll face risks, twists and turns, and a series of manipulations on your journey.

The adult life of a Salmon starts in the spawning pool, where mature Salmon swim to the river to breed and ends in the sea. Tiny delicate operations in the maze would necessitate a challenging and strict map to aid in your understanding of the maze.

Salmon tend to have a simple life, hatching in freshwater, migrating to the ocean, returning to freshwater to reproduce, and then repeating the process. Yet, in their lives, they face numerous obstacles that they must overcome; in this tale, you play the part of the Salmon as you build a journey from beginning to end.
Lime:
The devilish Lime returns in 2019 after a brief hiatus. Our ‘stamatic’ maze, which includes both magnets and ball bearings, is one of the features that makes the Lime V3 a tough maze to solve.

The Lime, which is powered by a Ferrari V6 engine, allows the engine to start before going forward. This puzzle is highly difficult, scoring a 100 on the Revomaze difficulty scale. It’s jam-packed with tricks and traps and will keep you entertained for a long time.

Love super-tough challenges? Try our impressively advanced Salmon as well, if you dare…
Gold:
The Gold V1, which was released in 2010, has an extremely high level of complexity, requiring the enthusiast to solve both the puzzle and the algorithm. The Gold requires you to think outside the box, and figuring out the puzzle will take some time. We’ve created a puzzle that will keep you guessing for hours, days, weeks, and even months! The Gold is a complex maze with 15625 possible variations, inspired by a lock. Each puzzle’s combination necessitates the development of an algorithm based on a number of clues. Owing to the high manufacturing costs associated with the numerous materials, we are no longer able to manufacture the Gold.
Black Merc:
Revomaze Black Merc V1 is a special project and is going to be a limited run of 20 ONLY. The Black Merc is aimed at our loyal collector base of Revomaze Enthusiasts. We had our original Revomaze Black V1 made by our first engineers who designed the maze for Chris Pitt only, however, he asked for 20 to be made that were sold to our early collectors and is still the hardest puzzle to find as we have honored the fact we would not produce anymore. We did have the original prototype that was run to sign off the design, which was sold as BK00-20. Along with Chris’s version and one in the engineer’s cabinet at their works, that is all that was produced.

Due to overwhelming demand, we did produce the maze in plastic under our original engineers. When we changed engineers, we then produced a new Black by our new engineers called Merc Engineering. This was never produced in metal, but as enthusiasts enjoyed the design, we always had a thought to make it.

We were contacted by our forum user “darctangent” who wanted to commission the production to complete his collection that has all the puzzles including the original Black. After looking into the design, he contacted the users to see if they were interested. Within a noticeably short time, many now want to reserve.
Purple:
The Purple V1 is a beautiful addition to your Revomaze collection. There were a total of 20 V1 Purple Revomaze’s made for a competition in 2014. Rarely, one comes up for sale on our Revomaze forum or eBay for serious collectors who need it to complete their collection! Chris has previously taken commissions for serious collectors who require it to complete their Revomaze collection.
