Ultrasonic Cleaner

Post by Mark76 »

Hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone has ever tried using an ultrasonic cleaner (the type used for cleaning jewellery, watch straps etc.) on a revomaze core to remove all the dirt, grease and debris (once its open of course).

Not sure how effective they are at cleaning and I was thinking of getting a cheap one and having a go.

Hi Mark!
I cannot imagine why this would not work, but I have never used one. If it were me, I would take an extra one to a jeweller and talk with them and get them to try it on theirs. Please let us know the results if you try it.
Cheers!
Shane.

I'm using a cheap ultrasonic cleaner for my glasses and my aquarium-glassware (don't want to use something agressive for something which going back into the aquarium).
I would say that you can clean the sleeve and core, but make sure to reapply some oil and grease (as mentioned in the re-assembly manual).
