Too many resets?
Can too many tesets cause damage to pins or the shaft?

I think the pin and maze will handle it but the both the pin and the plating in the maze will be worn over time so in the long run yes they will be worn. It have taken me 200h to solve some of the mazes and it still looked like new when I opened it and cleaned the dirt.
The problem is if you are starting to use force, in that case it can go fast to damage both the pin and the core.
You can always replace the pin but my guess is that the pin will handle at least 500-1000h of normal puzzle solving before it is time to replace it.
And it isn't a big deal if you end up with a small worn area at the reset point but it is good to have a pin that is working as intended.
