Future of Silver & Green
Future of Silver & Green
What is the current status of these two puzzles? I remember reading a post from 2011 stating that Green and Silver were both only doing one more run of 60 each and then they would no longer be produced. Is this still true? It appears not, but if is I'd better run and grab myself a silver

As of now, it appears that they are stopping all production of R1 puzzles to prepare to R2.

R2 is by planets. This will tell you everything you need to know. For now.

Gah, I am confusing R2 and V2. Okay; I understand now. But when (if?) production of the (R1) Extreme V1/V2 puzzles starts again, will a V2 Silver be made?

Re: Future of Silver & Green
Silver is different. It is on V2 or technically 1.1 because they had to remake it. The outside body looks like V1 though. In terms of looks, the V2 will not be made in silver and up. Only as it is now.

Re: Future of Silver & Green
The plan is that future puzzles will be made in house so that they're not having to rely on external engineers. The R2 design lends itself to this. Unfortunately, I believe that the Series 1 puzzles cannot be made in house with current equipment. Therefore, if (or more likely, when) Series 1 production stops, it will be just that.

I guess that there is always the possibility that one off batches may be made, but I think if this happens it'll likely only be for a limited edition run and/or will be more expensive than the current prices... I'd guess more along the lines of the Lime.

Do you know if the quantity listed on the online store is accurate with what is left in reserve?

Thanks for the responses guys! I guess I'll have to snatch one up quick. It's a good thing though that Chris and the company are continuing to go in new directions, and I can't wait for the R2s

I think you're confusing R2 and V2.
If you are talking about R2, then you should reserve your voyager status. I personally think the benefits are worth it.
