Mini Revomaze

I've pretty much given up on truing to get the pin to drop on my one. I've tried tapping it, flicking it, shaking it, and even freezing it as a last resort... still no joy. For the time being I've just left it sat sticker-down hoping that it'll drop at some point.

I'm guessing the pin is too light for gravity to overcome the lubricant in there. If the pin is steel, sticking a strong magnet under the body might help ...

I've managed to get mine free - it is *very* tricky indeed. and boy the pins are TINY! make sure you do this on a table!

So the method I used. On our table, Places a beer mat or something similar to prevent damage to the outer sleeve. Held the maze label down in my left haft between my finger and thumb about 1-2 mm above the mat, I then applied very firm tapping with finger from my right hand.

In effect accelerating it down onto the mat and getting a sudden stop. Acceleration is the key.
also I used a firm mat so that the Stop was sudden.

It's worth noting that the game pin has a shoulder(the part in the maze is narrower than in the sleeve) - so if you pull the maze out too far/not far enough - the wider part of the pin cannot drop into the exit as the shoulder will end up resting on top of the maze wall.

Also if you rotate the maze slightly to far - it will not drop.

Alignment and acceleration are key! then tap tap tap tap! test, align taptaptap TAP!

Good work! I've just had a PM from someone else saying that they've managed to get theirs apart too. So the dilema I have now is, do I spend my evening trying to finish opening the Mini.... or the R2.... ?

It's a prototype and it's not a Mercury, but yeh it's an R2.
I'm a third of the way through it at the moment and it's beginning to get tricky

There are some things I would change but I've spoken to Chris and everything I've mentioned has already been addressed for the production versions.

So how is it that 1 r2 is ready and no others have gone out? Joseph told me that they were being made in batches so that must mean that others are ready surely?

At last!!! I've opened my Revo Mini and wow it's spectacular.

I will also try and upload a photo into the Blue open group later.

I am now really pleased I bought one of these.
