Interest in new Carbon Fiber stand?

I intend to build a stand very similar to the original wooden stand Chris sold. With the noted changes:

1. Wider - I intend to make it slightly wider. Currently when the puzzles are in their locked positions, on the stands, placed end to end, the puzzles touch, but the stands do not. I intend to fix this.

2. Clear Design - To me the wooden riser or support cradle impedes the view of the puzzle. I intend to make them smaller and clear.

3. Material - As I've mentioned before, instead of wood, i intend to use carbon fiber.

4. Padding - The wooden stands use felt on the underside. My design would be hollow and would have no padding. Although the certs, maps, and coins could be stored here.

5. Cost - If i remember correctly (please correct me if i'm wrong), the wooden stands were priced at about $8 each plus VAT plus Shipping. I intend to offer these for about $10 plus shipping. No tax.

6. Branding - Currently I've made no attempt to discuss getting the gold "REVOMAZE" stickers to add to these, however i intend to do so. Worst case scenario, I am hoping Chris allows individuals to purchase them separately.

Some customization on colors and patters may be available if enough people are interested.

I've enlisted a small group of investors to fund the kick start of this project. I feel it is good practice to keep their names and other details vague; they don't even know who the others are in the investment group. However, in time they may share details of this project with the community or even directly announce their participation. I feel that as an investor, they have the right to be as ominous or as direct and open as they wish. Assuming a successful project, they will receive a number of stands for their investment as agreed upon before funding occurred. Additional stands (or upgrades) maybe purchased by them or anyone else once I have fulfilled my agreement with the investors.

The goal would be to have these shipped before the end of September, but before the holidays start as a worst case scenario.

If you are interested in the stand, please post below or PM me, whichever you feel comfortable with.

You men a 790 gram paperweight isnt enough?

I hadn't considered that they would need rubber feet or a felt bottom. however i assume i can engineer some sort of block to attach to the inside of each corner to add a foot to. additionally, i could make a small bottom for the base. to which feet could be attached. this could require me to increase the cost of the stand though.

generally i'd leave the rendering up to mark, but how can one compete with these master MS Paint skills?!?
