Interest in new Carbon Fiber stand?

I solved this when I opened my silver puzzle. I didn't want to put it back together (toooooo scared!) so I found some clear plastic, (that was used to protect the screen of a new monitor) assembled the puzzle with pins etc and wrapped the thin plastic around it and put some clear tape on the join. Now I can view the silver how it should be and not drop any bits. No reason why it couldn't be displayed this way either. (Plus it stops people getting their grubby finger prints all over it!!)

Displaying the shaft is nice so people can see what is inside. Most people I explain it to do not understand what it is all about. Part of the reason I was saying Chris should sell those cutout sleeves so I could show them the working of the puzzle! Only reason I wouldnt want to is because its one more thing for people to grab and play with or possibly lose or damage. Mine will hopefully be in a cabinet soon and the obsessions will be out for people to look at!

You guys should try selling the caravan and buying a house. You know, the big things that are joined to the ground. Give one of those a go, it should clear your magic moving stand issue right up

Its sort of common sense smooth carbon fiber bottom on a smooth say glass shelf has the potential to slide. As an investor I'm throwing out the thought. Small rubber feet can solve the problem.

Of course! I've been helping my friend restore a Lotus Turbo Esprit, but we got the engine to turn over last night and found the clutch rod, so she should be running before the weekend, thus giving me the entire weekend to give a prototype a second try.

So far i think i have a really great plan for the stand. I'll probably do the standard stand for $10 and then an upgrade option to include both the puzzle and puzzle/shaft stands with a place to store the shelf, cert, & pins in the underside.

For the "cup" version, the best I could do find was a 22.25mm shaft to go inside the body, which i think has a 24mm opening, so it would be a bit sloppy still me thinks. the next size up is a 25.4mm which i think is way too big for the (23mm i think) shaft.

I took all the measurements I thought I needed and then resealed my maze... anyone know what the small diameter is on the shelf? the part that holds the certs...

I did like the tube idea for the core and showing off the sliver, you can tell people about it, but seeing it in action wows them

as for my set I show it off taken apart and have the blue out so people can try it and wow over it

If you mean the draw or the part that comes out which the certificate wraps around the largest part is 11mm and the inner diameter is 7mm.
