Repairing Revo's

I have noticed that quite a few revo's have been sent back for repair, for one reason or another.
By usually rough handling it seems, for the most part.

I don't expect anyone to revel any trades secrets here.

I don't want this to become a thread for how to hack open your revo either.
So you can "repair" it .....

But how the heck do you even open a revo for repair.

My guess is that the outer is just removed and replaced ?

Phill.

Note:- to all Mod's.

Puzzles are sent back to Chris for repair. Nobody else really tackles it. If the puzzle is completely inoperable, I'm assuming he drills the pin out and replaces the sleeve when he returns the puzzle to its proper own.

Absolutely right - however, sometimes if it is dropped the maze can also be damaged along with the moving parts.

There is no way the puzzle can be opened because the pin with max compression on the spring is sticking out by at least 1mm.

As for the number - it is below 20 since we started (plus 1 that rolled of a certain ship and another that got confiscated at the airport  )

Hope this helps ... ;)

They tried to take my two plastic revo's at Luton airport, but it turns out one of the staff there is quite the fan of revomazes :D
