Stupid Boy...

Ok i was a bit of a numpty yesterday...

Just before I left for work I was having a go at my Red EX, not sure why I love it so much but it's currently my absolute fav :D

Anyway, I solved it, marveled yet again at the magic that is the rainbow, then went to put it back together.

So as usual, and I'm quite specific about it, I assembled the core with the pins in the correct places grabbed hold of the outer, and then I had a muppet moment...

Realized that I had the the thing upside down so quickly spun it around, slid the core in, then rotated, only to realize that I'd just lined up the dots. (I don't think that'll spoil anything for other RED EX owners still to solve it ;) )

Suddenly my Revo is now locked solid as the pins now the lock pin not the maze pin. Now in my sudden panic my brain tells me I must have now locked the maze pin on top of the lock pin  (So I'm now beginning to think I've bricked my Red  )

At this point I decide I'm already late for work so I leave it all locked. I ponder my predicament while at work and by this point I'm utterly convinced that I've locked the maze pin on top of the lock pin, so I wonder how I might free it. I get home and no amount of movement will allow me to dislodge my mistake :(

I leave it for the night and sleep on it...

I wake this morning, and while drinking my morning coffee, it suddenly dawns on my tiny idiot mind that the predicament I "think" (allard I'm defo blaming you for this  ) I'm in, is actually impossible to create...

Keep going it's worth it...

So I duly turn the maze over and the pin falls back into the lock hole and I'm out

Sorry, I had to share that as some of you will proper enjoy that...

Numpty indeed!

...not sure I can picture how you might get the two pins to stack up as you thought - unless you'd unwittingly removed the spring- but even then gravity would be your friend...

Glad it ain't bricked, but yes, I do think you're weird for picking that as a favourite! ;)
