Revo Rating

Here's a simple app (Windows) that determines your Revomaze rating.
We can't let the Chess and Bridge players have all the fun :P

Overall, your score is weighted heavily on having opened a puzzle of course. Your score will improve somewhat based on the leaderboard and times.

Some notes:
- Orange / Gold / Handmade factors are best guesses at this time
- Don't post screen grabs of the GUI, just add your score to your signature
- Set your printer to default landscape if you want a printout.
- The opening time reflects the number of elapsed days it took you to open from when you received the puzzle.
- If you are a Grand Master or better the app opens up diagrams of each core - if you are pretending to be a Grand Master it reformats your drive.
- I'm open to suggestions for v2.

Happy computing 8-)

are we supposed to check the box for all the puzzles we own or have opened or what?

Clicking the boxes cleared the entire scoreboard, but just adding my leaderboard ranks i'm a 'Master'

Also, things like the blue, green, and bronze; i have no idea how many days it took me me to open, i only know how many hours. as for silver, pfft i have no idea... can i start counting from when i got my v2?

Either way, fun little time killer and rating system.

Allright CR80... lets see your score.

Click the revos you have completed (otherwise we'd all be Yoda's) - then fill in the numbers.

ps ... the image reveal and drive format is a fictitous add-in.

Dude, I've been staring at this damn RevoRating program all morning. I seriously want to improve my scores which means i'll need to improve my opening times. Looks like i'll have to dig out the Extremes and get crackin' this weekend!

only 99 points from Grand Master!

Well opening the orange should put get you "Grand" status - I'll need that and AU to get there...

That was fun!

This tool made me (try to) re-open all my RevoMazes again to determine my re-opening times. Now my fingers feel like they did over 2 years ago when new revo's popped up every few months. I also re-read many e-mails related to arriving and opening revomazes throughout the years. That was fun!

Most of my re-opening times of today are good for the maximum score, although I doubt they would get me into the final on a live event!
I tragically failed to open bronze today so I made a best guess at that opening time. I happened to report my fastest (30 points worth) re-opening time for revosilver in an e-mail to Chris in March 2010, and I am afraid that will never be improved because the you-know-what is going you-know-where you-know-when. Finally my leaderboard positions also generate points, because I was lucky to be in the early group that pre-ordered the whole set (that was fun!).

As soon as the mailman brings the gold and HM (that will be fun!) I (and maybe 19 others) will be ranked GIP, so maybe those ranks and/or technical scores need some tweaking by then.

Nice idea Mike, thanks for the fun!

I guess if there is a Lime on the horizon, we'll need a bigger boat.

With all the soon-to-be opened (OR/AU/HM) revos, I can see tweaks to the difficulty and total scores will need to be made.

And I guess the TI and Obs Pros will need to go in too...

Clearly, we can't have everyone at the Grand Master Level. ;)

RevoRabbit - did you have any specific edits/additions?
