I have read the instructions and I'm curious to find out what tools, products and techniques you guys use to clean your open revomazes before reassembly?

I just use a cotton swab or cotton bud to clean out the maze and a soft cloth to clean out the inside.

I have a question regarding cleaning. Well, Brasso to be precise. My orange got rather tarnished so I bought some brasso. The one in the tin with the wadding. My blue and orange have cleaned up really nicely but whats the best way to use the wadding?

Remove it all from the tin and rub the bar on it. Buff with a duster (what I did)?

Or tear a piece of wadding off and just use a small piece and buff?

Surprisingly I've never used the stuff before!!

I used to play in a brass band and to clean my instrument I tore a bit off then buffered with a cloth this is how we were told to do so in order to compete for deportment prize. I also had a "magic cloth" which has a little polish in and that worked surprisingly well although I doubt it would work as well on a revo because its small and fiddly cleaning wise.

Ummm, this might be exceedingly American of me, but I actually used firearm cleaners/lubricants on my RevoMazes. I figured RevoMazes are similar to firearms in that they both have precisely machined surfaces that wear against each other. I used regular old Hoppes #9 to remove old grease/grime, and I lubed it with Shooters Choice synthetic all-weather grease in a syringe, it's thinner and more even spreading than the grease that came in the puzzles, yet it stays put. I intentionally over lubed to ensure every track and the entire sleeve would have a fine coating. It takes a little bit harder of a tap to get the pin to slide for removing/inserting the core, but the maze is very smooth, and I haven't noted the grease getting dirty at all. So, I seemed to have reduced wear between all the components, that was my biggest concern after first opening the Aqua and seeing how dirty the pin was after only 3 hrs of play.
