If the pin is slanted then the paths need to be slanted or it defeats the purpose of the smaller tip.
Oh, you were responding to 303's post. Well anyhow, I still don't see how the pin is slanted enough that the path would need to be slanted. It is just a way of holding the pin in, not to follow the path. So the pin would still follow the path as if it were a regular Revomaze pin, only a different size altogether.
It would have to be a 3mm pin, with a transition to 1.5mm part way along it, with the whole maze running tip being 1.5mm. Sounds easier to get a small spring or spring substitute

Ginger, that maze looks great. Would love to see a fully wooden revomaze. What diameter core did you use?

Good question :?

Making the shell was definately guess and check work. The diameter is around 3/8 inch (if you want mm, go convert it yourself! :P )

I have been messing about with different size pins and springs and think I have finally found a usable combination.
Unfortunately working at this size it doesn't leave much room for error.

The trick has been to drill the hole in the case as deep as possible to allow room for enough movement,
but this all depends on the depth of the paths on the maze aswell. :?

Have also been working on a new case. (This one should help me test it quicker and more easily).

:D Working Mini Maze. This case makes it so much easier to test. Now I need to practice cutting the cores and making the slopes. Gonna need more acetal.

It's been great fun making it, but it's so annoying when you make a small mistake and have to start from scatch.

Can't even imagine the work involved for Chris to make the handmade's. He must have the patience of a saint.
