Extreme version stock levels

G'day,
Being a late comer to these puzzles and the fact that they are expensive I've just purchased the Blue Extreme. I see that the stock levels of Green and Bronze are low and Silver is limited. Will there be new stock made? Or will it be a case of once they're gone they're gone? The product pages don't mention any limited numbers like the Gold does. I'm thinking I could preorder the Gold and Orange then get the green, bronze and silver later.
Cheers,
Dan

I'm sure that they are just what it says, low stock... More will be made...

Acid,
Like you I'm a newcomer and I ordered the blue one as well. I gave them a call today(Thursday) and they have about 20-30 silvers left (can't remember what the guy on the phone told me) so I ordered it there on the spot as it is limited. Hope this helps

Due to Chris wanting to expand his business I believe at some point he is intending to concentrate primarily on the obsessions as they are clearly more mass market products. As such, I believe there was mention not so long ago that Chris planned not to make any more of some of the puzzles (whether this was going to be longterm or not I wouldn't like to say) after the current stocks had run out. It was mentioned extremely briefly at the MPP but I haven't heard any more on this since then though.
If this is the case then I expect it'll be the green and silver that are affected.
Hopefully we'll get confirmation from Chris after the Gold is released and he has more time available.

Surely if they are profitable he'd make as many Extremes as he can sell?

But if the Obs sell better because of their lower price and as they are quicker/easier/cheaper to manufacture then I'd guess that profit margins would be better on those.
I'm only guessing though...

I think we've got to remember that not everyone is prepared to spend £100 on a puzzle
Of course for us addicts

it's not really a problem, but Chris is running a business here, and his expanding business will be in the Obsessions long before the Extremes
Obviously, he'll gain more sales of Extremes from the knock on new Obsession addicts who want something a little special
Effectively then the Obsessions become adverts for the Extremes

That's my point, I don't see why they can't sell both. But I suppose we're not the ones who see the numbers and run the business.
