Yep! The idea is I give you all an update of what's going on monthly and hope that next month I be discussing the impending orange and that gold is already on it's way to people! Don't forget, I want mine too!

I've told Chris he needs to be on here more and that a little communication means a LOT to people who have been very patient until now. I can confirm that all the info I give is exactly as I am told by Chris or what I see when I visit him.

Gold is delayed due to 2 factors that have been ongoing for some time now - manufacturing issues and increased demand.

The manufacturing issues have affected large batches of puzzles for several weeks/months. It's not just a question of reliability from the engineers/platers. When demand was lower lots of time could be taken on each maze. This is impractical when demand is increased and lead to large batches being rejected when they were received by Chris who expects 100% quality.

He was devastated when some puzzles went out with plating flaking off and therefore had to spend a lot of time sourcing a new plater who then needed to provide test mazes to Chris' satisfaction. Even the new platers tried to cut corners leading to further mazes being rejected. The appropriate standards and quality are now in place but the need to issue puzzles to people waiting for them as well as increased demand prior to Christmas meant Chris had to put the gold on the back burner.

I saw the gold weeks ago and it is ready for production now the engineers can schedule it in for production and we should be seeing it shortly. I say 'should' because nobody can foresee any new issues occurring.

I also wish this information would come from Chris rather than myself as I could do with a rest when I get back from work but at least your getting it from someone.

Any estimates on how may golds are left?? I want to solve silver first, but I really don't want to end up not being able to complete the series because I waited too long.
