In all your revomazing...what was the hardest/craziest trap?

Post by emilione »

I am still a beginner, but I see from the forum that crazy and unearthly things await me in the near future. Would love to hear from you..what was THE trap that got you really stumped? Of course, follow the forum rules and do not reveal much...the trap nickname and reasons will do. I still stumble over a weird trap on Blue...probably does not even have a proper nickname.

The hardest trap was the canyon because it didn't work as planned.
The most exciting trap was the swamp, it took days to understand and solve.

Test

Edit: I typed a long, meaty reply but it didn't post. Trying again.

I've got one to contribute. Certainly not the hardest or craziest, but think back to when you solved the blue extreme. For most people, that was their first revo, and none of the tricks and traps were familiar or expected. I remember being stuck for quite a while about 4 moves in, where it was easy to fall in a trap that lead back to the starting trap. I didn't realize it was a trap and I was confused that the maze just seemed to end. Once I realized it was a trap, figuring out how to avoid it took a while. It was the beginning of a rather steep learning curve, and quite a tame trick compared to others that awaited in future puzzles, but it was a critical trick to learn. And it was a special 'aha' moment where we realized that the puzzle was much more than a simple, branching maze. Worthy of an honourable mention, at least. :)

Also, welcome aboard! I'm sure you will enjoy the puzzles. Like it says around here, they are hard to put down. Don't blame us if you get addicted. And hand cramps. :)

You make a good pin about your first revo
Mine was the bronze so the pool and first moving part combine was the first thing that made me think before acting !

Figuring out the guard in the Orange...

I knew what was to be done in all other traps after a while but it was just implementing that thought.

I really didnt understand the guard for quite a while though as it was my first dynamic maze :?
