Re: an idea - a transparent sleeve!

I'm going to try to make one, the acrylic should be here friday...
Unfortunately, the inner diameter of the shell is approx. 15/16", right between .875" and 1" (size options). Foolishly, I ordered the smaller one, so I'll have some difficult sanding/routing/cutting/buffing to do :?

The thickness of the acrylic is .125", so ill have to be halving that to merely .0625". But don't worry, I had to order 6 feet of it  (only around $7, but shipping was $8)

I mentioned this to Chris a while ago as a potential addition to the Obsession range, although I suggested the sleeve should be frosted, so along with the White shaft the puzzler doesn't get a complete view of what is going on inside, just a tantalising glimpse maybe.
If it were ever to come to fruition a name I suggested was the "Revo Ice", what do you think?

Another idea was the mini/pocket/ travel version if this were possible.

There are many ways the Revo can be made as a different style of puzzle, maybe we could set up a section on here for brainstorming/development suggestions for both the puzzles, stands and cases etc, not that Chris will ever get the time to take the ideas up as he is so busy,...but you never know. ;)

Yeah I know about that thread, it looks at a lot of Revo related material but not specifically at the Revo and it's potential incarnations.

The revoclear is a success! Except it doesn't look exactly like you guys are picturing it... Its more of a ring of plastic than an entire case.

It's currently stuck on my bronze (I'll have to solve it to get it off  ) so I'll post it in bronze open. Once I get the ring off, I'll post it here. Then I'll put it on my green (don't worry, I can get it off that one...) and post it in the green open forum.

Also the ring is a little icy instead of clear... maybe I'll polish it later.

Nice! Can you post a censored picture? A word of warning though...DO NOT PUT THIS ON YOUR SILVER CORE!!, especially if it's designed off of the bronze sleeve. That being said, the silver core should never be placed within any other sleeve. The time lock will not function properly...and other, more serious reasons.

Yellow part contains a spring and the pin*
This doesn't give away anything, does it?
