I noticed the Obsession series does not have a difficulty rating. For those who have the set, are they as challenging as their metal counterparts?

They are identical in structure. Are they easier or harder depends on how they feel to you as an individual. I find them harder, because the plastic doesn't respond as well in my opinion. Others find them easier, because the plastic feels smoother and the edges are more noticeable to them.

Are their mazes identical to their corresponding metal colors?

...I think that's exactly what maztec meant by "They are identical in structure" - the mazes are the same, but the as the materials are different, the 'feel' differs - and opinions differ on which is easier - Gdamatov77 says the Obsessions are easier, but most of the rest of us find the feel of the Extremes more useful...YMMV

i shall take pride in being the one that thinks obsessions are easier because they are "easier to grasp"

Order a training aid with your next puzzle ;) It makes a world of difference and you'll get the best of both worlds.

I always felt like the training aid makes it harder to feel the finer details of the maze. Plus, my training aid slips off :\.

Mine is slipping off these days too. Plus I only really use it in the palm anyway. My fingers stay on the main metal shaft part regardless.

Still nice to have though

I find the metal puzzles easier. The plastic ones just dont have the same feel.
