Jumping in with both feet!

Post by Paradox »

Firstly let me say hello to everyone! I am Paradox, and I have only recently discovered this world of Revomaze, which is a good and equally sad thing.
Afterall I am glad to be part of this great looking (and I can only imagine time consuming) part of the puzzling world, but also as I've only discovered this so late on I found that I have missed out on so much!

I've just put in my order for the three available Obsessions from Revomaze, but I can't order the red as (I'm sure you know) it's been discontinued. :(

Oh well, I'm here now and looking forward to the many hours of enjoyment I can expect from these. And then I'll be on to the metal counterparts I reckon....so long as I don't get driven to total madness first.

So how long can I expect to be kept busy by these three do you reckon?

Welcome to the family! Don't worry about the red obsession. If you're interested in the Extreme counterpart, there are still a few available through Puzzle Master. Be warned though, don't expect anything similar to a series puzzle. Each LE (yeah, the redX was originally going to be an LE) so far has been made for a purpose other than difficulty. There may be insanely difficult parts, but they're secondary to the overarching (red pun) theme of the puzzle. If you think you might get hooked and would like as may mazes as possible, go ahead and pick one up. The rainbow is beautiful inside and it has one of the nicest color sleeves to date.

Depending who you are, the other three obsessions should keep you busy for a solid week to a month. After those, you should be ready for the Bronze which is a different beast and by far a forum favorite. Please let me know if you have any more questions. You can either post here or PM me directly :)

Again, welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the welcome!

The main reason I got these three was because I reckon that I will be able to tell if I want to go all in and get the full set of Extreme afterwards.

I honestly can't wait for them to arrive now!

Thanks again, and I'll keep the forum posted on how I am (or am not) getting on. :D

I have a fiver that says within an hour of getting your Obsessions you've decided that you need to get as many of the others as you possibly can... they have that effect on most people...

Enjoy!

I'll echo this statement completely! I ordered a set of the four Obsessions, solved the Blue in a few hours and then proceeded to order the BlueX, GreenX, BronzeX and RedX, pre-order the GoldX and when I can I will order the Silver and most likely the Orange too.

You have been 'warned'.

"Jumping in with both feet!"
What a paradox indeed. 8-)
You are more than welcome to jump into the Revomaze adventure, preferably with both hands, keeping both feet on the ground.
BUT you must know that 'jumping' is never required nor allowed, it's actually strictly forbidden in any Revomaze!

Anyway, (you will) have fun!

I will attempt to keep both feet on the ground, but I can't be held responsible for what I do if I'm stuck after several weeks.

As a general question; If I were to open all three of my Obsessions would it make sense to start on a higher level of the Extreme like the Green or Bronze for example? Or should I still begin with the Blue?
