To be honest, all the replies in an 'announcement' topic have made me twitch more than once. I've been tempted to clean it up for a while, but not gotten around to it.

Since the topic was for gauging general interest, it has probably served its purpose now anyway, so retirement is more likely to happen before a clean-up.

Update.....

Hi All,

After receiving many PM and emails of those interested in these puzzles, Chris and I decided to try a new technique. We chose 30 puzzlers of different puzzling levels to receive a prototype/handmade of the Mint to test and feedback on, these will begin to go out next week. Once we have received feedback the design will be finalized and the V1 Mint will be produced. The selected 30 will be the first to receive the V1 Mint and it will then be available via the website in time for Christmas.

Part of this process was to test our machines to bring production in house and by upgrading our machines we are now able to do small production runs here at HQ!

There are a select amount of V1 Salmon’s now available to pre-order for those on the list and will be sent out towards the end of July, we will then do another small production run towards the end of the year for Christmas.

We are hoping by bringing production in house, we will be able to achieve a lot more.

Thanks
Emma

So, reading between the lines here if the in house machines are now being used to produce R1s then that means they aren't being used to produce R2s, which is what all the R2 preorder money originally purchased them for.

the machine used to produce R1 cores may not be very helpful in producing R2 mazes or hulls.

Don’t worry, we are scheduling everything in. The R2’s will now be faster to produce due to the upgrades.

About the Salmons who are offered for July, are the fully working, non prototype puzzles?
