Update from Revo HQ 2024

Dear All, Rachel and I have discussed this today.
Since starting the Lites our original anodiser who did the Blacks, could only do a limited colour range. Discovering Acorn Plating they did samples of all the colours and that makes 23 (4 more than planned). I wanted the Lites to not be dynamic but have complex mazes instead. Since we had planned that the advanced would be based after the Red was shipped to get feedback before completing the designs of the Bronze, Silver and Gold.
At no time did I have planned dynamic puzzles and wanted the range to be static with one change to make the advanced puzzles more entertaining. Knowing this, and then getting the four extra sleeves to fit within the range as a very difficult level, so I then wanted to make them the only Dynamic puzzles in the lite series.

We both understand that the Advanced SE ones were going to be the most challenging from the range, adding an extra 4 that was not part of the original plan but having seen the fantastic colours, we wanted to develop them by the 3rd quarter of next year, once all other puzzles have shipped and had feedback from. GHXOST, it was not my intention to deceive but by listening to some of you, we should be able to expand the range to fit in with people's expectations.
If you feel, and the Top Table Members will discuss this at our next meeting, to include or exclude the new 4 Dynamic puzzles. These were to complement the Intro SE and Intermediate SE as the "Advanced SE" that Rachel came up with the GRANDMASTER Level. We also did not have everything named but it became clear as we put the sets together. We are trying our best to stop ambiguity and now Rachel has spent a lot of time getting the website right and flow better hence we have focused in with the names and levels.
One way forward is to make the Orange and Gold Dynamic, so there will be 6 Dynamic in total. That can be done.
We will be discussing this further and will listen to feedback.

A Day in the Workshop

The machining of the sleeves is ongoing in the workshop as we prepare for the anodising process, bringing the vibrant colours of the sleeves to life.

The goal is to manufacture 300 sleeves in the first batch, with machining scheduled to begin in the morning and continue through the evenings, including weekends. Keep an eye out for more updates on the blog!

The Sleeve-Making is in Full Swing at the Workshop!

Over the weekend, more than 250 sleeves were machined, and are now preparing for their side B operation! They will undergo degreasing and cleaning before receiving their anodising treatment. It's a bustling time in the workshop as we get the Lite's in pristine condition and ready for launch.

Out-of-Office Message for Holiday Season

Hello everyone,

Our office will be closed from December 24th until January 6th. Machining will continue as planned, except for Christmas Day! We're excited to share that the sleeve operations for batch 1 will be completed and prepared to send to the anodisers once they reopen in the first week of January. After we receive those back, we will send out an update to keep you informed. We look forward to launching the Lite's!

The Lite Sleeves From Batch 1 Are Prepared for Anodising

Dear everyone,

Happy New Year!

I’m happy to announce recent progress, the first batch of 300 sleeves has been prepared, and Chris has sent them to the anodisers on January 14th. Special care was taken to ensure that all measurements for each sleeve were accurate and all washed post-production.

This initial batch includes colours Blue, Green, Grey, Purple, and Red levels. Our next priority will be to continuing to make the puzzle parts and on to the making of the mazes. We look forward to showing you the colours once they've been collected as soon as possible next week. Further updates will be posted as to what we get up to behind-the-scenes.

Dear all,

In today’s post, we are sharing an update on the VAULTMAZE status. Now that it’s a new year, and we've overcome a difficult 2024, we are preparing for the coming months.

We have kept track of all orders and shipments that have gone out. We currently have 24 pack 1’s outstanding and we have the brass material available for machining. So far, 42 pack 1’s and bonus sleeves have been shipped. Feedback on these initial packs has allowed us to make changes, to further improve the quality of VAULTMAZE.

After further discussions, our current plan is to begin working on the remainder of the pack 1’s towards end of February and start of March to catch up. Once this is ticked off, the focus will be diverted to packs 2 and 3 thereafter.

One of our main aims for this year, we will strive for further progress in getting puzzles into our customers hands. In order to help us achieve this goal, we are now looking for an Engineering Operative to join our small team to help with the production process.

We recently formed the "Top Table Group", consisting of some of our customers. We have regular Skype calls to directly discuss progress, issues and updates.

We are listening to your comments and will keep in touch with new updates here in the group, as well as on the forums, and an update will be sent to everyone individually next week for a new year update.

We are putting together better communication regarding both the REVOMAZE and VAULTMAZE projects, and we're very excited about seeing both projects being produced to a very high standard.

On the topic of REVOMAZE, this week, the Lite sleeves arrived back at Revo HQ and we look forward to shipping these soon.

Next week there will be a blog displaying the sleeves, including the newly corrected colours of the Gold and Bronze. We hope you like the colour changes, we certainly do!

Lite Sleeves Returned to Base Featuring New Bronze and Gold Colours

Welcome back! We have exciting news: batch 1 sleeves were collected during a brief business trip. The colours available are Blue, Green, Grey, Purple, and Red, along with some extras! There's also a new colour level called Aqua included as a demonstration puzzle that we haven't revealed yet. Each box contains 50 foam slots for the sleeves. Which colour levels did you choose, and which one are you most excited to tackle first?

We requested a colour adjustment for Bronze and Gold. The original Bronze (on the left) appeared lighter, resembling Copper more closely, while the original Gold (also on the left) had a more orange hue. The updated Gold has reverted to a classic golden shade. What are your thoughts on this change?

The REVOMAZE Lite Blue Maze Cores Are Prepared for Assembly

Hello everyone,

The REVOMAZE Lite Blue cores were completed over the weekend for batch 1, including engraving and core cleaning, the next step is assembly.

Puzzle feedback:

Mike, a puzzle reviewer, and Revomazer, received a Blue in a pink sleeve last week, for his daughter, who opened the puzzle in 40 minutes! While Mike opened it before to share his feedback on the puzzle.

The response was fantastic and thought the opening experience was entertaining! Mike stated that, although being an entry-level Revo, the REVOMAZE experience is still present, including the known 'click' sound and dead ends.

The most recent forum post goes into more depth on Mike, a puzzle reviewer's take on the Blue Lite, as well as from the younger generation, Mike's daughter, Daisy. Who go into detail about it being a fantastic introduction maze that aims to provide the foundation for the skills required to complete the puzzles.

Mike says, "I think the difficulty rating of 10 is accurate, but the easiest maze I have to compare it to is the classic Aqua, I'd love to hear what people that have solved the classic Sapphire will think.

I would recommend this maze to anyone, particularly those with kids. I'd probably recommend ages 7 & up. But if they're responsible enough to not throw it, the age can go even younger."

Daisy says, "I really liked it. It was fun, challenging and a bit hard. It felt nice and easy to turn. I like the colour, pink is my favourite. The weight was really good, it wasn't too heavy either. It is much easier to hold than a normal Revomaze. I also liked that it had a certificate."
