The silver V2 is what is sold now. The original silver had issues that could render it unsolvable if you wound up in the wrong place...

You are guaranteed to have a v2. Very few people have a v1 and none of them are likely to give their's up.

If you want to be entirely certain, you can share your serial number, and we can let you know where it falls within the scope of problems or none.

You definitely have a v2.

In fact, just to make this simple, I'll lock this topic and say the following:

All Silver RevoMaze's sold and received after January 1, 2010, are v2 Silver Revomazes. There is one minor difference in the manufacture of the v1 and v2, which makes no difference in how the maze is solved but reduced the possibility of breaking the mazes. As long as you do not abuse the maze (no need to spin it super fast, fling it, etc - read the instructions, gentle is better), you will not break it. If you think yours is broken, please feel free to contact Chris Pitt. However, 99% of the time it will be working without a flaw, you just have to figure out what you are doing wrong or right.
