I am doing it right & also doing it wrong at the same time. However I don't know specifically what the 'doing' / 'undoing' bit/s actually are !

I love this puzzle, I have even assumed it broken.......It's not apparently. So well designed It feels unfeasible.

When I see this core it's going to make me frown & grin so much.

Keep at it. If you need gentle hints check out the beginning pages of the progress thread in registered. Some good words of advice in there as well.
