I don't know where it came up regarding Revo's. I know the freezer is the only thing that allow's me to open my Tritalon I got from Wil Strijbos though.

I don't think a freezer will help Keebler. Some liquid nitrogen might do the trick and shatter the sleeve with a well placed hammer blow.

I think the freezer treatment started with the Silver revo's. It also seems to help if the pin get jammed in its hole. One of the items in the original competition descriptions was that the Revomazes used for the live event would be kept refrigerated until the event started. Personally I've never had to chill my revo's.

I think in 99% of the cases the reason the 'freezer trick' works is because you leave the maze alone for a period of time and let pins drop in the case of mazes which won't release the pin at the end etc. I've never had an issue where freezing was required, and I'd always be concerned that when bringing the puzzle back into the warmth, condensation forms on the inside, which would lead to more issues than it solved.

Now there is a comment from the original competition rules that between each competitor, the mazes would be cooled ... however again I'm not sure how much of a difference this would make.

Yes, it is buggered. An optimist might say that the puzzle just got a lot more challenging. Another perspective would dictate that I made it into a part of the maze that was previously unexplored. I'm facing the reality that I may never solve the bronze.

Ahhh sounds like it could be the same problem Allard had then.

Yeah, speak to Joseph (Revoguy) and he'll sort you out. Don't lose hope, you will complete it eventually, you're just having a poor streak of luck atm, but it'll end soon enough ;)
