So my green is really, really, really difficult to turn. I compared it to my blue and bronze just to make sure my fingers weren't being wimps, but when I try to start the maze I have to turn it upside down just so it'll go. Is that normal? I also can't get out of the main trap line without praying to gravity to help me out when I turn it upside down and lift up the shaft. It's kind of okay on the maze lines. Not as smooth as the blue and bronze. I'm pretty sure the spring is working, because it pings when I fall in a trap. Thoughts? Maybe I'm just being weak lol. In all seriousness though, I really can't turn it unless I hold it upside down.

I got a response 15 minutes after I sent an email. Now that's customer service. :)

Pretty sure I found the problem. Bent pin. Also, probably why I had such a hard time getting the thing apart.

Nasty. Must take a pretty full on drop onto the shaft to bend a pin like that

Yeah, I have no idea how I was able to do anything with it. Sometimes I had talk really sweetly to it for it to even turn. See, I thought it may have been dropped during shipping, but my bronze is totally fine and they were in the same package. Who knows, I'm just glad I got it open.

Ouch!

Did the puzzle take a fall at some point.

I'd suggest sending that picture to Chris ... I have no doubt he'll be happy to send you a replacement pin. Is there any other signs of damage in the maze? After all, the shaft is made of a much softer material than the pins, so it should be evident by an indent.

Maybe it makes sense to continue said discussion in the open forum. Congratulations on getting it open with such a damaged pin!
