Actually it was, but definitely not a conventional solution.
Huh?

I gave up on my red six months ago. I thought it requires too much dexterity to avoid falling off the path, and besides, I couldn't figure out the entire path once I mapped all the traps. I couldn't imagine any way to go from the start to the end.

I also tried every single unconventional method I could think about, but nothing worked. Sigh.

What could I have been missing?

Well, having remapped my Red I can now consistently get to the end of the rainbow but, as always, there's no way to get to where I want to be  :?

This Red is being tougher than I anticipated.

I've mapped out the rainbow and get stuck on the tail, surrounded by traps. Upon mapping the traps, I don't see a way out.

*puts on thinking cap*

According to wiki, Red is the color of pain, blood and anger, all of which can be attributed to this puzzle. I would also like to suggest that a deeper meaning exists. Red is a color characterized by the longest wavelengths in the visible spectrum and contains one of the longest paths in any Revomaze. This perhaps culminates in a tribute to Newton who described the visible spectrum and for whom Chris may hold dear in his heart as a fellow Englishman. Complete speculation, but I believe that this is good evidence to suggest that Newton may be Chris' great, [..great..] great grandfather.
