I've had the Black V2 for as long as anyone since I ordered it as soon as it was announced. I was initially put off by the fussiness in the first part of the maze, so I set it aside for a rainy day.

Then I spent my time banging my head against the wall with the Silver. When I got tired of hurting myself With the Silver I found that I couldn't open the Red EX, or more recently the Ti SE either. From the posts for the Black V2 it seemed that I had a better chance with this one than my other unopened puzzles.

Today was rainy in CT so I dusted off the Black V2 and made a new, better map. I finally was able to navigate my way into the main part of the puzzle. Seems like I'm at the 3/4 mark and can now imagine what's coming.

I'm really hoping this won't be the third static maze in a row that I can't open. At least I made some progress and my head doesn't hurt so much.

My Black V2 has now been opened. :D

That's the first Revomaze I've been able to open in quite some time. Certainly feels good to see a new core and not be foiled at the last 10%.

I have one of the early Black V2's with the certificate. I sent Joseph the code but he hasn't replied yet. Does one have to send pictures too?

I don't think you need pictures. But go to the User Control Panel and then "Usergroups" and request membership of the RO Black V2 open group (Select it with the button to the right and then click "submit" down at the bottom).

Thanks Ali. The V2 was the easiest of the Revos I haven't solved yet. I'd be perfectly happy if some of the future mazes were of similar difficulty.

The Ag, Ti and Red are all 90% mapped. With the Au I can expose the first 30+ mm and then close it again. I haven't put much effort into the Au due to the algorithm. Looks like its time to get better acquainted with the Orange. It might be the easiest of my unopened revo's to work on. That's not saying much since the Orange seems to be a challenging puzzle.

Well my postie brought me a nice surprise today, my Black V2 :D

First off, i ordered it from Puzzle Master and im really pleased with the delivery time. ordered it Wednesday the 26th of Sept at 14:40, it was dispatched 2 hours later and i received it today. impressive, i think.

Secondly, im impressed with the puzzle itself, feels much better than i expected and definitely feels of the Chris Pitt quality. it has a nice weight to it as well, i thought it would be lighter.

And finally, best get cracking at opening it!!!

Turrahh, for now :D

Ugh, my fingers are killing me, but it's finally done, removed and free from it's sleeve. I have to say, this one was worse for me than my Orange. Despite the number of times I got to the end I'd always let up the pressure just a little bit and it'd click in, then struggle through the first part twenty times from fatigue.
Though once again no map, and with this one I know I wouldn't have been able to do it. I'm glad I can give my fingers a rest until my other mazes show up.

I agree with you that Orange was no where near as horrible :( That last bit drove me nuts for ages
