BlackV1 Progress and Help

Yeah it's my 1st. Seen it on gadget show and my uncle got one and I was hooked! I just can't see how I can't get past the trap when I've done it many times before!!

It is possible to break it, but it takes a fair amount of force. Remember none(*) of the RevoMaze's require force to solve them. if you believe you have broken it, contact Chris Pitt.

Hey, I've recently got the revOmaze black and was stuck at the beginning with only two dead ends and a trap. When I'd figured out what to do I was chuffed as it opened so much more to explore. Now I can't seem to get past the trap at the beginning!! Is it possible that I've damaged the maze?? Please please help revomaze is ace n I couldn't put it down until now

I know EXACTLY what you mean - but have noticed this: when I'm tired it is a lot more difficult to get past. If I've just now picked it up for the first time today my hands are much more steady and it's no problem to get past that first trap (well...maybe 1 time out of 2 tries anyway). The more I play with it, though, the harder it gets, the more frustrated I get, the harder it gets, the more frustrated I get and so on. Add that to the fact that I'm hurrying after hitting a trap farther along and want to get back to that point as quickly as possible because I don't map anything and want to get back there before I forget how it felt.

I had the exact same problem with the black. Eventually, I just had to tell myself "slow and steady wins the race." That and I think my muscle memory was able to do its thing when I wasn't trying to over think it.

Finally! Got that sucker OPEN! Now I can get back to Bronze and not feel like I skipped anything. From the time already spent on the Bronze extreme it doesn't seem nearly as hard on my hands as this Black obsession was. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough into the Bronze yet. This one seemed to have soooo many sensitive spots I was doing it in stages - getting to a 'safe' spot and setting it down to let my fingers rest, then moving on to another safe landing zone.

Not sure If I'm to scale or not but judging by previous maps I have about half my map filled already. This one is interesting.
