Apparently I have terrible finger dexterity and can't keep a steady hand.

I keep giving up and picking it up later. School killed it for me though...

My hand isn't exactly steady either. The best way I have found to help with that is to go as slow as you can and feel what is going on.

Green is still the hardest puzzle for me as a result of that...

Well done Graham and your right about the sleep. I have lent my black obsession to a mate and he opened it yesterday. He used to wake up in the night and do that but it took him over sixty hours. He would pop in and say I need some help with it and so he got the same help as we all get............... Re-map it. If stuck do a more detailed map:)
He now has my green so will post his time later

...that usually means you need a better map...unless of course you don't believe in maps...then you can try random stuff in the hope of stumbling through, but your chances are pretty slim...

You don't strictly have to draw the map, but at the very least you have to make it very clear in your head. Drawing just means you don't have to remember it all

I always try to draw a map but once you have done the same spot 431435425 times you seem to memorize it!
