Black V2 Extreme

OK, I have been asking Chris (pestering really!) for quite a while about getting an Extreme version of the Black V2 Revomaze made(it’s the only design not done in metal) as I have an extra Black Extreme sleeve. Chris is willing to do a small run! 20 plus a prototype like the other Black Extreme. This will be produced after the current orders, Mint, Salmon, and R2 Mercury have been completed. Chris has given me freedom to get this off the ground so I’d like everyone’s opinion on how we do this. Any feedback will be appreciated! So far we like the idea a of splash anodized sleeve. Black base with a couple of dark colours splashed on.

EXCEPT for the limited to 20. enough with the highly limited editions. I'm one puzzle short (Purple) of having all the mazes, and I'm not able to afford $2k to buy one.

Yeah, I understand. Chris cannot, however, commit to a large production run, so it will remain limited to preserve the value for collectors. No more will ever be made after this.

I unfortunately wouldn't be able to afford one either, but I agree it's a great maze and would make a better Extreme.

I am Peter from Germany and this is my first post. I like nice craftsmanship and beside other puzzles from UK I started also to collect Revomaze (actually 14pcs. included CE-set).

Of course I would like to get a black one (if somebody want to sell, make me an offer) but I think it is not a good idea to bother Chris with new ideas. As I read in many post, a lot of people are waiting for goods and some of them since several years and Chris is not able to produce and to deliver (also I am waiting since 10 month for some items). We should give him freedom to finish every job ...............I think he has no time for treat some of us with specially.

Hi Peter and welcome to the forum!
Thanks for your comments! Just to be clear, this is a different Black and has never been done before. Chris is very cognizant of the fact that there are many outstanding orders and he is finally in a position to start completing them. He is looking beyond that however, and I’ve sold this as a good project for him, if handled correctly. As most everyone on here knows, it has been a long road for both Chris and admirers of the puzzle with Chris barely hanging on at some points. Without people’s patience and projects like this there would no longer be a Revomaze. With that said anyone wanting a Black should be prepared to wait. It will only be made once other prior commitments have been fulfilled. As a collector, I am willing to wait as this is the only design not done in metal and I have already been wanting it for a while. Hopefully others feel the same way, or I will have a bunch on the shelf at home.
