There's lots of hints and tips in the forum's here. Not everything everyone says is helpful, but most things are. Especially after you get past whatever part of the puzzle has you stumped, and you realise with hindsight what people were talking about.

These are excellent puzzles, that will provide you with hours of enjoyment. So take your time, don't stress things when you're stuck, and use your old grey matter to get though them.

Everyone will suggest creating a map, and there are threads with discussions on how to do that. It will help as you find your way around, but may not be required. Just see how you get on and take it from there.

One thing you can definitely expect is to hear a lot of 'click' when you start playing! It's part of the experience.

When you're stuck, and there is no way forward, your puzzle isn't broken, it's working exactly the way it was designed. There is a way to progress, the challenge is to find it!

Don't study too much or you'll spoil some of the fun. In fact, I'd suggest not reading a thing before doing Blue. Much better that way.
