Lost Pieces

Post by JPK314 »

I opened my revomaze but the spring didn't come out. The little metal piece did, so I tried to use it to get the spring. Now both are missing. Can I do anything?

Hello,

When you say they are missing, do mean that they are lost or that the pin went into the spring hole and won't come out?

The spring on my Blue doesn't come out when I have it open. My assumption is that it's wedged enough up in the hole to stay there.

If you have lost your spring and pin, Revomaze sells a replacement kit on their web page.

I used a bit of wire to check, and it seems like one of the two holes has much more depth than the other. Is it possible both pieces are stuck inside the puzzle? I don't know if they're lost or stuck, but if both holes are supposed to be the same depth I'm pretty sure the metal piece is stuck.

Edit: I got the spring most of the way out, and no metal piece was in there. It looks like I'll have to get a replacement kit.

You should have two pins and one spring. One pin for the core (maze) and another for the drawbar. My spring seemed to be kept in the sleeve by a small O-ring. Only the hole in the sleeve opposite the Revomaze label is used. Did your pin get stuck in the Revomaze label side? Tap the sleeve lightly with the Revomaze label facing up and facing down and any pins should come out. Be careful not to mark up your sleeve, or loose any parts that come out. If the spring is out the pin will disappear completely in the hole. I think the pin may be stuck in the hole that has less depth. If it's not in the sleeve have a good look around the floor with a flashlight using oblique lighting before you vacuum :). Hope this helps! Also if you have only one pin left you can still use the maze without the drawbar in. Good luck finding it!
